Materials Used For The BFX6024
- Proprietary DryLight Insulation: A seamless, poured concrete-based composite provides superior fire protection compared to standard drywall insulation and reinforces the safe’s structure.
- Dual Door Seals: A heat-expanding seal (Palusol) that swells when exposed to high temperatures, plus a high-temperature silicone seal prevent flames and smoke from seeping into the interior of the safe.
- Heavy-Duty Steel Construction: Features a 2″ thick composite body with dual steel barriers and a solid 3/8″ thick solid steel plate door, creating a nearly impenetrable barrier.
- “Active 4x” Locking Bolt System: Fourteen massive 1.5-inch diameter chrome-plated steel bolts engage on all four sides of the door, driven by a smooth, gear-driven mechanism for maximum pry resistance.
- Three-Stage Lock Protection: A hardened steel hardplate, a glass plate trigger, and a spring-loaded relocker work in concert to deadbolt the mechanism if the lock is attacked.
BFX6024 Certifications
- The BFX6024 is an ETL-certified, fire-rated gun safe. It can help protect/withstand temperatures up to 1200°F for at least 120 minutes. This is the highest/best certification ETL can grant within the fire-resistance category.
- With a UL RSC Level 1 security rating, the BFX6024 has withstood tampering and pry tests utilizing mechanical and electrical hand tools to break into the safe.

Burglaries – If your safe is forcibly entered, we will repair or replace it free of charge.
Attempted Burglaries – If your safe undergoes a drill, punch or pry attack and is not breached, we will repair or replace it free of charge.
Damage from a House Fire – If your safe is damaged in a house fire, we will repair or replace it free of charge. We will either repair your damaged gun safe or replace it with a current production model of comparable value.
(1) To file a claim, you must be the original owner of your safe. Within 30 days of the burglary/fire incident, you must properly file a police report documenting the incident. A copy of the police report must be submitted to American Security with your warranty claim.
